New to blogging Mac widgets
February 19, 2007 at 8:27 pm (Mac osx widgets, new to blogging)
I finally decided it is a good idea to have a blog. I used to think who cares about my rantings, who wants to read that? Then I stared knitting and spinning and really enjoy reading other people’s blogs about it. It was an “ah-ha” moment for me.
I don’t know why I fought it for so long, I am a tekkie, and I work in the technical arena – I just couldn’t get why someone would read my blog.
I tried starting a blog on “another” blog site, and had huge problems with it. This site is way way better, I really am impressed with it.
Bear with me on the boring page so far, I will be working on fixing that.
I got a mac mini not too long ago, and last night I was looking at widgets for my dashboard on there. There really is a huge amount of them available now. I found one for my weather radar, one for sodoku, one to find cheap gas prices, and the most useless but entertaining one – The Yoda widget! You put a sentence in, hit enter, and yoda translates it to his language and says it for you, useless – and I love it. When I get bored for a second I just put something in there and blam-o an instant laugh.
I shall be posting some knitting and spinning stuff on here very soon!

Thanks for the thumbs up on the continental method. I think I will press on with learning the skill. It’s a good idea to have a variety of methods just in case my hands get tired/injured knitting one way.
